About Luis Max
Luis Max’s music comes straight from his heart and is influenced by his life growing up in Mexico. The foundation for Luis’ music derives from his years of exploration in the New Flamenco Guitar genre. His music fuses Latin, Pop, Rock, Jazz and the Blues and is driven by lively Latin rhythms and dynamic percussion.
Luis has been performing in the United States for over eleven years now and has entertained audiences at many local restaurants, clubs, private and corporate events, street fairs and city functions throughout San Diego and Los Angeles counties, and on occasions, Las Vegas. Luis has also been showcased on local television and radio shows. Luis has performed as a soloist and has been accompanied by numerous local artists.
With the release of his first album, "Memories" in 2003, Luis showcased his talent and creative energy. His second album "Pure Passion" released in 2007, highlights his musical journey thus far and exemplifies his passion for the craft. Both albums are instrumental visions of what his heart and guitar is singing to the world. Luis is currently working on his third album that is yet to be titled; release date not set. Luis Max & Blue Moon In 2009, Luis introduced a new name for his backup rhythm section and now calls his group “Luis Max & Blue Moon”. (Formerly Luis Max New Flamenco Guitar) Luis has assembled a talented group of musicians that accentuate his unique and innovative style and interject their own musical personalities. The diversity of Blue Moon will define the evolution of Luis’ already proven creativity and passion. Luis Max & Blue Moon can be arranged as a duo or trio, or more members can be combined when a fuller more expansive sound is desired.
